I couldn't be happier to hear the positives. It's great to see a rod hit the US market that looks "JDM exotic" and priced for the masses. This is one rod that will be going into my arsenal. (Hello 7'6" MH) Pure Fishing appears to be pushing the envelope in the value arena. I picked up a Berkley Lightning Shock rod and was very impressed with the light weight, balance, performance and quality of a $49 rod. Nice appointments and looks like a rod that costs 3 times the actual price. Keep the reports coming :-) Thanks for the first impressions. I couldn’t be happier to hear the positives. Looks like a winner for the price. I've never been a fan of the foam grips - "Hypalon" or otherwise.
